Titanium Dioxide (Anatose & Rutile)
Titanium dioxide, also called titania, (TiO2), a white, opaque, naturally occurring mineral existing in a number of crystalline forms, the most important of which are rutile and anatase. These naturally occurring oxide forms can be mined and serve as a source for commercial titanium. Titanium dioxide is odorless and absorbent. Its most important function in powder form is widely used in welding fluxes.
Cellulose
Cellulose Powder is a white, odorless, tasteless relatively free-flowing powder. It is the most abundant organic polymer on Earth. The cellulose content of cotton fiber is 90 – 95% and that of wood is 40 – 50% derived from purified specialty grades of wood pulp. It is a non-ionic, water-soluble substance that improves consistency, stability, and water retention.
Mica
Muscovite dry ground Mica is extensively used in mild steel rutile-based welding electrodes. In welding electrodes, a core of steel wire is coated uniformly with a “flux” comprising mica as a lagging compound. The mica coating provides two distinctive types of protection to the welding rods. Firstly, it serves in forming a fusible slag and a good seal at the fusion zone on the arc. Secondly, it resists the action of the heat, gaseous, and other surrounding atmospheric oxidization. Nothing can substitute Mica for the above application. In fact, it is the nature of mica coating that largely determines the quality of welding electrodes.
Limestone
Limestone Powder is a natural form of Calcium Carbonate with extremely high whiteness, purity, and free-flowing in nature. Widely used in plastics as filler, due to its high dispensability, low oil absorption, high impact resistance, smooth surface finish, easy processing, compatibility with polymers and other organic additives, and excellent dimensional stability
Electrode Printing Ink
ELECTRODE CODE MARKING INK is a high-performance liquid printing ink for marking codes on welding electrodes of any description. The printed electrodes may be baked at high temperatures as well as at low temperatures. MARKING INK is applied on the electrodes by any conventional printing machine available in the trade. Pigments used in the preparation is free from health hazard and are non-toxic. It is available in RED, BLACK and WHITE colours
Wire Drawing Compound
A compound which aids the process of drawing of wire rods to the desired thickness of wire
Testing Chemicals
Chemicals, solutions, reagents etc used for testing the raw materials and the weld metal deposit of finished electrodes
White Jelly
A binding agent in powder form which can be added to dry flux or added during wet mixing in the form of solution
